Antique gas electric light fixture with two gas arms and two electric arms.  This combination gas electric fixture has been completely electrified and is no longer useable with gas.  The original gas adjustments are still in place in order to maintain the original appearance.  The fixture is pictured with a matching set of old, age appropriate pressed glass shades.  The fixture dates to the late 1800’s to the very early 1900’s.  At this time in America, electricity was a new concept and to many people was an unproven source of energy — would it last or fall by the wayside?  120 years later we are still using it.  Refurbished and rewired.
